BUSAN, KOREA – The entertainment industry today has a new publisher of curated content with the launch of DARK PRODUCT, founded by seasoned industry executive Scott Millard. DARK PRODUCT aims to craft a place in the gaming landscape through strategic investments and the creation and delivery of unique products.

 

As an innovative new publisher, DARK PRODUCT's core mission is to strategically deploy capital to projects that align with its verticals. The company expects these projects will mature into a diversified portfolio of game types and related products that all have deep connection to the horror narrative and be available to consumers across various platforms.

To mark the official launch of DARK PRODUCT's gaming lineup, we are proud to collaborate with Digital Happiness, one of Indonesia's leading game developers, to release their highly anticipated multiplayer game, DREAD HAUNT.



Scott Millard brings a wealth of experience to DARK PRODUCT. With a deep understanding of the entire game development process, from conception to multi-platform publishing and customer acquisition, his leadership will be instrumental in driving the company’s success.

 

Previously Mr. Millard has served as a Strategic Advisor for QLOC SA, one of Eastern Europe's largest co-development studios, where he has been pivotal in identifying new business opportunities across the Asia Pacific and North America.

 

Scott’s previous tenure as CEO of FEARDEMIC sp. z o.o., a subsidiary of BLOOBER TEAM S.A., saw the company grow from a single game to an impressive portfolio of over twenty titles. His efforts led to the creation of one of the largest annual Horror Events in FEARFEST BLACK SUMMER and THE HORROR GAMES AWARDS whose 2023 showcase was aired in partnership with IGN as TWO NIGHTS of FRIGHT and was their most watched independent stream.





Earlier in his career, Scott managed the Asian distribution of BETHESDA games, including the critically acclaimed Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, and established key distribution routes for TURTLE BEACH and GRADO consumer electronics brands. Scott’s extensive experience also includes nearly seven years as Managing Director of BANDAI NAMCO Asia and BANDAI NAMCO Korea Ltd, where he launched numerous triple-A titles across the Asia Pacific region, including major franchises like Tekken and Dragonball Z. Prior to BANDAI NAMCO, Scott led Atari's Asian operations, significantly impacting Korea’s burgeoning gaming industry and advocating for intellectual property rights as Vice President of the European Union Chamber of Commerce IPR Committee.

 

With DARK PRODUCT, Scott Millard is set to deploy his deep experience with interactive entertainment, employing a wealth of expertise to create a company that lasts forever.
